Add a Twitter Counter to your blog
Do you see the shiny white badge at the top of this page? Recently I have opened a new twitter account and have gained a lot of twitter followers by using John Chow’s twitter follower service. I thought it is time to show off the result. (Yes I know I am a lazy person and I haven’t done much aggressively to increase my count.)
Twitter Counter does exactly that. It allows you to show the number of your twitter follower on your websites, blogs, forums whatever.
To add a twitter counter is very easy:
1. Go to Twitter Counter’s website
2. Type in your twitter username to check your stats
3. On the right hand side you will find a link saying ‘Get more followers: Add TwitterCounter to your site, blog or social network.’. Click on the link.
4. Choose the style of counter you like, copy & paste the code onto your website.
That’s done!
You can also place a Twitter Remote widget onto your site. This widget shows which twitter users recently visited your blog or website. The design can be customized to match your theme, and the code is just below the twitter counter code mentioned above. Copy and paste the code onto your website and done!
