Have you downloaded Firefox 3? During the 24-hour period, there was over 8 million downloads recorded. Currently the result is being analysed by the Guinness team.
At the time of writing this article, the download record has just break through 9 million.
No matter Firefox 3 can make it to the world record, we should all be rewarded! Therefore, Firefox is presenting a download day certificate for all people downloaded the latest browser software. You should quickly go grab yours!
I have already installed Firefox 3 and my general impression towards it is: it is fast! It makes loading of website a lot faster than the previous version (which was known to load webpages faster than IE). I don’t quite like the address bar though - too many text when I tried to type something.

Although Firefox is only reaching 20% of the browser market share, it is a highly recommended browser to use because of a lot of benefits, like fast loading time, large range of plugins, and the high usability.
Extreme Firefox supporters would actually uninstall Internet Explorer off their computer, and only use Firefox instead for browsing the internet.

As flash (and other Macromedia products) has been acquired by Adobe, Adobe is going to carry out a few changes to our usual PDF. Adobe is going to add support for Flash in the next version of the Adobe Acrobat software.
On the other hand, Adobe is going to provide hosted services to internet users. The new website, Acrobat.com, provides an online platform for:
- document creation - Named Adobe BuzzWord
- internet meeting - Named Adobe ConnectNow
- create PDF (only free for 5 documents)
- share the files
- store your files
Adobe says “Acrobat.com is a place where users can work with documents in the cloud”.

According to Net Applications, Firefox’s market share is on an increasing trend, and it is likely to hit the 20% mark in July.
And with the launching of Firefox 3.0, it is not a surprise that it would continue the trend and hit another milestone in a short time.
And on a contrary, the market share of IE has been dropping. In May 2008 it was at 73.75%.
Safari, used to be bundled with the updates of Mac, now has been separated as an optional download. Their current market share is 6.25%. Doesn’t quite help with the Windows version, does it?
