Are you a home owner?  Or I guess you might be renting or living with parents.  Or maybe you are a student doing homestay.

I have been living in several crappy places, or nice place with a bad landlord.  And now I am renting and living with my wife in a nice little house, which we will be vacating next week and moving into a unit.

One reason why I am moving is because I do need to have a nice place to work.  I need a place that I do not need to worry about anything, being taken care of, so that I can put all my concentration onto my work.  (Of course, a good and stable internet connection is very important as well.)

Can you imagine a nice 2 hours, worry free, can improve my efficiency to what degree?  I can tell you without any hassles, I can finish my work in 2 hours, which might take others 4-5 hours.

To be a nice place, I need the place to be:

1. Having a nice garden – so that I can take my laptop and sit in the garden, breathing the fresh air and concentrate on my work.
2. Everything in the house running smoothly – maybe I am too bad at concentrating, but sound of dripping water would actually drive me away.
3. House looking good – at least it has got to be comfortable. I got a friend who can’t even stand the curtain’s color not matching his couch!  But that’s an extreme case.
4. Pest Free!! – this is extremely important!  Well, no need to explain.

Where would you like to blog?  Your living room?  Your bedroom maybe?  A cafe nearby?  By the beach?

I don’t own a house yet, but if I do, I would really love to blog in my lovely garden.

But I am lazy and I like to be clean.  I don’t like gardening and I hate it if I have to touch the soil with my hands.  Therefore, I guess my next option is to go to a place where they have a garden taken care of commercially.

If you have a commercial property in North America, then I would suggest you maintain a good garden (smoke free, please. Cigarette is hazardous for health).  Your employees can have an alternative of where to work, and working in such a nice environment, it does boost productivity.

PS. A landcare service like TruGreen does exactly what I have just mentioned.  Within the North America, TruGreen LandCare is a famous and large provider of commercial landscape and lawn services.  They do landscaping to landscape design.

Do you ever dream about making a living out of blogging?  It is not going to happen overnight.  Yes, you do need to invest a certain amount of time and effort to earn money out of your blog. But face it, it is not going to have 1.3 million John Chows in the world. For me, I would prefer getting a full time job and run the blog freelance.  I may not earn as much as the full time bloggers, but that extra money keeps me happy.

Having a full time job not only going to provide me a stable income.  It also keeps me in touch with the outside world, so that I still know what is happening around me.  Besides, having more contact outside is always good, don’t you think?  Especially I run a web development business and these contacts would be beneficial to my business.

What kind of job do you like?  What company would you like to work for?

My dream company is, not a surprise, Google.  I have just got a friend being head hunted to work there.

PS. Terminix is offering a lot of job positions in Monster Boston.  Ranging from sales representative, customer service, pest control service technician… Sure, you may not find what you dream of, but at least, they are real jobs and guarantees you a healthy income.
