WordPress is currently the most popular blogging platform in the blogosphere. It is very easy to install, easy to customize, and plenty of plugins available.

Recently I have read a lot of other blogs because of the nature of my job. And I have come across a couple of plugins that I would like to recommend.

1. Xanga Archive Importer for WordPress
If you were using Xanga before and have changed to WordPress, you may want to import all your previous posts onto the new blog. After all, they are all your hard work! However this could be a very tiring process. With the help of the Xanga Archive Importer for WordPress, you can save the hassle!

2. WP-Amazon
If you are an Amazon affiliate, then you should not miss this. WP-Amazon is built just for you! You can link to your recommended books / movies /products that are related to what you are writing about. Link Building is a crucial part of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Search engines value links from similar websites to your website having higher importance than other links (eg. directories which thinned out the page rank).

To start, click on “Select Blog Type” then choose the “WordPress” option:

Then a new window would be opened. Click on the “User Info” tab and enter your website’s information. Click “save user info” to save.

Click on the “Blog Search Settings” tab. Enter a keyword you desire and click “find blogs”. As illustrated below, the phrase “web design” has located 79 related blogs. The search results are sorted by page rank.

Click on the “Load Browsers” button and load the first 10 blogs onto the mini browser at the bottom. The user information would be preloaded onto the relevant fields. You only need to enter the comment and you are done.

When you are done with the first 10 blogs, click on the “load browser” button again to load another 10.
