Under E-Commerce
Thanks to John Chow, I have made use of some discount coupons and saved a lot!
You can use them to buy domain names in GoDaddy.com as well. Here they are:
- OYH3 - $3 off / $6.95 any .COM domain name
- OYH1 - 10% off anything
- BTPS7 - 20% off any order of $50 or more
- BTPS4 - 10% off anything

The coupons above can be used for any GoDaddy purchases. However, I am not sure if I will be asked to delete this post, nor when are they going to expire. Therefore, jump in quick!

Under Reviews+ Search Engine
Search engines did change our lives - at least our behaviour in surfing the internet. However, because they are so powerful, I do find it overflowing with information sometimes.
Therefore, it is good to have directories that serve a specific industry. Zycon, a directory specifically for the industrial distributors / manufacturers, has made our lives easier. Their slogan is ’stop searching, start finding’ - which does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Zycon connects engineers and technical buyers with the related products and services. Industrial products includes chillers, gas springs, metal stamping, pumps, transformers, cases, seals, speed / gear reducers, valves, check valves, control valves, ball valves.. just go have a look. You won’t be disappointed.

Under Software
The most well known browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc. However, there are also plenty of other browsers around. Maxthon is an example.
The Maxthon browser, being the award winning browser of PC World, PC Home, Softpedia etc (the website listed 19 awards), is “a powerful tabbed browser built for all users. Besides basic browsing functionality, Maxthon Browser provides a rich set of features to improve your surfing experience”.
My first impression about this browser is its amazing fast loading time. I didn’t count it, but surely, it is fast.
The Maxthon website has listed a lot of features, so I am not going to rewrite them here again. I would just list out a few which I found particularly useful.
- Tabbed browsing - When I first used this browser about 3+ years ago, IE has not got tabbed browsing, and this surely makes my life easier.
- Anti-freeze - with a lot of tabs opened visiting Ajax website, Maxthon has a mechanism to avoid freezing
- Undo - closed a tab by mistake? Get it reopened!
- Feed Reader - already built-in
- Web Sniffer - find out the real URL of the FLV video files
- Security - trusted website check
- Filter pack - removes unwanted, annoying ads
Just give it a go - Maxthon Browser

Under Blogging
There has always been myths going around in the cyber-world about earning lots of money online without doing any work. Well, it is not true. You do need to do some work in extent.
One good example is John Chow (he has recently become my idol). Does he work? Yes, his blog updates every single day. And I am a loyal reader of his blog.
Enough of the introduction. In the coming posts, I am going to summarize what I have found in terms of monetizing blogs. I must emphasize that you do need to do some work to gain the money. I won’t be able to guarantee you an income so that you can quit a job - and I don’t think it is a good idea anyway. But some extra money would be good enough (at least for me). If you work hard enough, then your income is certainly going to grow.
I am going to divide this into a few parts:
1. Monetize your blog by writing
2. Monetize your blog by advertising
3. Monetize your blog by affiliate marketing
4. Monetize your blog by selling
5. Monetize your blog by giving away free stuff
I am not just going to give you a few links. In fact, I am also going to give you tips to enlarge / maximize the profit. So keep an eye in my upcoming posts. And I hope you will pick up something.
